The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) for Teens, offered through Velocity Counseling, is an evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated teens in middle and high school to help them make and keep friends. During each group session, teens are taught essential communication skills and are given the opportunity to practice with peers. Parents attend separate sessions and are taught how to assist their teens by helping to expand their teen’s social network and provide feedback through coaching during socialization homework assignments.

The Summer Conversation & Dating Intensive Program is a structured, class-like group program for teens ages 13–19 who are interested in building, refreshing, or strengthening their social and relationship skills.
This five-day virtual intensive incorporates targeted skills from the evidence-based PEERS® curriculum. Participants will learn and practice essential conversation skills such as starting and maintaining conversations, entering and exiting group discussions, and building confidence in social interactions.
The program also includes a focus on age-appropriate dating and relationship skills. Topics include expressing interest in others, asking someone out, responding to feedback, and planning respectful and successful dates.
This program is ideal for teens who want to feel more confident socially, improve communication skills, and better navigate peer and dating relationships in a supportive, structured environment.
